The Borgen Project

My job at The Borgen Project is to help spread awareness about the issue of global poverty and to speak with our United States elected officials to help pass lifesaving legislation that directly benefits those in need around the world. Over 736 million people live in extreme
poverty - meaning that these individuals live on less than $1.90 per day. And with the current crisis of the Covid -19 pandemic, even more families will be forced into poverty which will have life altering results not only for the families directly affected, but for the international world as well. My presentation at the rotary club meeting will focus on the background and statistics of global poverty and how it affects the United States in the areas of job creation, national security, global overpopulation, and lastly on what can be done by each and everyone one of us - as it will take all of our support and recognition to help combat global poverty. If you have any more
questions, comments, or concerns, let me know and I will answer them for you
